THE REWARD FOR A GREAT BUSINESS CAREER: RACING WITH MAZDA
The MX-5 Cup boasts a diverse paddock of professional racers and business professionals who spend their weekends racing as a hobby. Tim Probert is one of only two racers who has competed in every season of the MX-5 Cup.
Prior to 2015, Tim had a very busy work schedule as a Fortune 500 executive, racing as often as his schedule would allow. Now retired, Tim has turned even more of his time and attention to his favorite sport and series.
Houston, TX – January 25, 2016 – ALARA Racing is excited to announce an expanded, two car effort in the 2016 Continental Tire Street Touring class. Building on its inaugural 2015 season that showcased the potential of the ALARA Racing Mazda MX-5 with five poles, two additional front row starts, and three podiums, 2016 will be a year to challenge for the championship.
Leading the charge in the #34 will be ALARA Racing’s own MX-5 Cup champion and Mazda Road to 24 driver, Christian Szymczak. With a year of experience running up front in the Continental Series in 2015, ALARA Racing and Christian are prepared to contend for victories in the competitive class.
